Artgle Backup Import

Artgle Backup Import

If you previously used the Artgle (天画) desktop software, you can migrate years of accumulated pictures, frames and mats into YunPeiHua in one go — no manual re-entry.

Entry: user menu → “Preferences” → Artgle Backup Import.

Before you start: export a backup from Artgle

In the Artgle software, use its “Data Backup” feature to export a .jar backup file (Artgle’s backup format — a ZIP archive underneath). This file is the import source.

Import steps

  1. Open “Preferences → Artgle Backup Import” and click Choose backup file, then pick the .jar exported from Artgle (up to 300MB);
  2. The system analyzes the backup: it counts the pictures, frames, mats, frame materials and scenes inside, and compares them with your existing assets to find name duplicates;
  3. Confirm the import:
    • No duplicates: click “Start import”;
    • Duplicates found: choose one — “Skip duplicates” keeps your existing assets and imports only new ones; “Overwrite existing” updates same-named assets with the backup data;
  4. A progress bar tracks the import — please keep this page open;
  5. When finished, a summary shows created / updated / skipped counts per type, and the assets are ready to use in the framing workbench.

What gets imported

ImportedNot imported
Pictures, frames, mats, frame materials, scenesBusiness data such as orders
  • Scenes without an image are skipped automatically; the analysis notes them as “N without image”. Add images to them after the import to make them usable.

Good to know

  • The import task is kept for 2 hours; if you don’t confirm in time, upload and analyze again;
  • Duplicates are matched by name — choose “Skip” to keep your current edits, or “Overwrite” to let the Artgle data win;
  • Both the web app and the desktop app support import: the web app imports into your cloud account, the desktop app into the local library. The two are independent — run the import on each side if you use both.
